What is a Prosthodontist?
A prosthodontist is a dentist who is a specialist in the restoration and replacement
of teeth. Extensive training and education provide prosthodontists with the skills for
restoring optimum function and esthetics to your smile. The treatments include: crowns,
bridges, veneers, inlays, complete and removable partial dentures, dental implants,
TMD-jaw joint problems, traumatic injuries to the mouth’s structures and/or teeth,
snoring and sleep disorders and oral cancer reconstruction and continuing care.
We want your visits with our office to be educational as we take care of your complex
dental treatment needs. We encourage you to ask questions to better understand your
treatment. Most of the treatments will involve multiple appointments and will be
different from what you have experienced at a general dentist’s office. Following
an initial evaluation of your current dental condition, a detailed plan for
treatment will be developed. Often, several treatment options will be presented
and we will work with you to determine which plan is best for you.
Excellence and caring are our goals. The most valuable things we have to offer are
first, a concern for our patients as individuals; second, is our knowledge of
prosthodontics; and third, our skill and experience. We will deliver a total
individualized treatment striving for perfection without shortcuts or sacrifice
of quality. We simply offer you the kind of care that we want for ourselves or
our families.
Our philosophy of dental treatment is to restore the mouth in a way that preserves the
remaining structures. We believe that most treatments can be
structured so that anyone can afford to have the best that modern dentistry has to offer.
